Cala Barca
CALA BARCA
Also known as Caló de Sa Barca Trencada.
It is a fine white sand beach located on the Migjorn coast of Mallorca. It is surrounded by Majorcan pines, scrubland, and old holm oaks. The natural landscape and crystal-clear turquoise water makes it a natural wonder.
This rocky “accident” is divided into two swimming areas. On the left there is a rocky area whereas on the right a small fine sand beach. The sandy area is long and has natural shades, thanks to the huge pine trees standing in the back and inviting you to lie down in the shade. Very welcoming to rest from the sun.
The beach can be exposed to winds from the southwest-west. It is about 35 m long and around 25 m wide.
There is a free parking area next to the beach.
Close, following the coastal path, we can reach Punta des Savinar, and if we walk further, we will reach Cala Figuera. Wandering along the rural or coastal paths heading to Punta des Savinar some specimen of land tortoises can be seen.
We recommend you check the news or changes about it in the Santanyí town hall to which it belongs.
